About the Role:
Join our team at CRU® Galston Gorge as a Kitchen Team Leader! You’ll lead and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meals for campers and guests. This hands-on role includes food preparation, managing dietary needs, stock control, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Set the standard for teamwork, organisation, and food quality
- Coordinate food preparation for large groups, including dietary requirements
- Manage stock control, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety compliance
- Support and train team members to perform confidently and efficiently
About You:
We’re looking for someone who:
- Alignment with CRU’s Basis of Belief
- Demonstrates strong team leadership skills and leads by example
- Is highly organised and can manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Has a genuine passion for cooking and commercial kitchen work
- Is confident handling high volume food preparation and service
- Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
- Is flexible and available to work weekends
- Has a trainable, positive, and solution focused mindset
Trade qualifications and previous experience in camping, conferencing, or largescale catering environments are highly regarded but not essential.

Galston Gorge site hosts school and holiday camps in a beautiful bushland setting.
